How to Take Care of Your Magnum Boots

How to Take Care of Your Magnum Boots
Posted: 21st July 2023

Magnum Boots are one of the best-selling safety boots that we offer and the Magnum footwear range continues to evolve and develop with new technologies. Here we offer some advice on how to take care of your Magnum boots to help you prolong their lifespan.

How to Clean Your Magnum Boots

You can help maintain your Magnum boots lifespan by cleaning them regularly. Any dirt and mud should always be brushed off with a suitable brush once it has dried, and then wipe your boots with a damp cloth if necessary to finish cleaning them.

Never put your Magnum boots in the washing machine as exposure to cleaning detergents can deteriorate the stitching and other bonding agents that are used to hold your boots together.

How to Dry Your Magnum Boots

You should dry your Magnum boots naturally by leaving them to dry out at room temperature. Paper towels can be stuffed inside the boots during the drying process to help absorb excess moisture and to help maintain the shape of the footwear. Never subject your Magnum boots to a direct heat source as this can damage them.

General Maintenance

To help retain the shape of your Magnum boots, ensure th\t the laces are undone before removing them. You can also invest in compatible Magnum shoe care products, such as polish and insoles, which are available from retailers.

Magnum Boots Linings

The linings used in all Magnum boots are manufactured from a comfortable and breathable material that requires very little maintenance. Due to the breathable nature of the linings, moisture from your feet is absorbed and they dry out quickly. To help prevent unpleasant odours, some Magnum boots use a treatment in the lining that wicks moisture and sweat away from the foot.

How to Maintain Waterproof Magnum Boots

If you own a pair of waterproof Magnum boots, the leather needs to regularly be treated with waterproofing products. Otherwise, if used in wet conditions, the leather will gradually lose its water resistant qualities, and the leather will slowly harden and crack.

At Work & Wear Direct we offer a large range of Magnum footwear. For those that are looking for Magnum boots on a budget, the Magnum Sitemaster and the Magnum Rigmaster styles are both good quality and affordable options.
